How far along in pregnancy should you be before you stop flying on an airplane?

Dear Jess,
Most physicians and midwives recommend that you refrain from traveling by air in your third trimester. You may also want to find out about restrictions from specific airlines. In addition, it is a good idea to make sure that you feel up to flying during any month of pregnancy, especially if swelling, nausea or other ailments would make flying uncomfortable for you. If you do fly, remember to get up often, drink lots of fluids and bring snacks!
